Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A young child was among those injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
