The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for significant tournament

This young athlete maintains considerable social media following

The young golfer can count on multiple well-known supporters as she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates several international courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply stay calm."

"My grandpa basically suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she explained.

"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has competed in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

But she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He represents the best player globally," Kai stated.

"And he's an even better human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face some of top competitors in the sport at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, particularly among youth audiences.

Kai boasts substantial online presence and recently launched her own apparel and wellness company.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
