Palestinian-American Teenager Liberated Following Nine Months in Israel's Detention

An American-Palestinian adolescent who spent 270 days in Israeli detention without being charged has been freed.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones against settlement residents, allegations he repeatedly contested.
United States authorities applauded Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, was taken to hospital right after being freed, family members reported.
Family described him as visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.
Through an official statement, Mohammed's uncle spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" throughout the past nine months.
"Currently, we are focused on providing Mohammed with prompt healthcare he requires after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions for months."
American authorities announced ongoing to provide consular support to the teenager's relatives.
{"The Trump Administration has no higher priority to the protection and welfare of American nationals"," officials stated.
Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to US authorities and President Donald Trump, requesting additional efforts to release him.
The father, with four children who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing because the soldiers beat him.
The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him via legal paperwork.
He stayed without charge within Ofer penitentiary throughout the occupied territory.
It is also home to adult prisoners, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences and homicide.
Approximately 350 Palestinian child security detainees being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
Numerous remain uncharged while advocacy organizations, including UN bodies, report instances of physical abuse and torture.
Following Mohammed's release, the uncle stated they would maintain their efforts for justice for his cousin their cousin Sayfollah.
The dual national youth per medical officials succumbed to assault by radical settlers amid clashes during summer.
At the time, the Israeli military said authorities were looking into information regarding a civilian had died.
Mohammed and Sayfollah collaborated within the family's frozen treats establishment based in Florida.
No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.
"We expect US authorities to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
