Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into reports of questionable actions involving women.
The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
